Lack of a Sense of Community

Now their are things I like about Nevada and the culture of The South Western United states.  I like the idea of individuality and rugged individualism.  However I do not like the lack of a sense of community.  Myself I am partially to blame for this.  I never went out of my way to introduce myself to any of my neighbors at any of the places I lived.  However community is more then just your neighbors it is about getting involved in organizations that empower people.  Some great organizations that I plan on getting involved with in the next coming months are ST. Baldricks.http://www.stbaldricks.org/,  The Jimmy Fund http://www.jimmyfund.org/.  Now when I say getting involved I am not talking about simply donating that is the easy way out, which I have always taken when it came to these organizations.   We need to all be more engaged in these organizations with our time.
    In poker news I have had a pretty good start to my brick and mortar year.  In my 1 hour of live play before work each day I am already up over $200 in low limit games.  My online train wreck continues down the track.  My bankroll is down to $281.  Tonight I will watch The all new CBS line up with an all new Hawaii Five-O.
     Well I was on the wrong side of Superbowl.  I had Steelers money line at plus 125.  The Pittsburgh secondary let me down.  Big Ben must have been out partying the night before the game and we only know what that might entail.
     To revisit the first two parts of this entry I would like to talk about an inspirational young lady who is in the fight of her life with cancer.  Any time I feel run down and tired or frustrated I look to her inspiring story and am ready to deal with life.  The person I am speaking of is Thuy Doan.  http://www.pokerroad.com/blog/thuy-doan  It is quite motivational.
    Now in the land of online dating I have a good night planned I have 5 views that I plan on responding to.  I am trying to close the deal on the 31 year old Asian from match.com for a real brick and mortar encounter this weekend.  I am going to try a few techniques I got off youtube on my secondary sites.
    I had to do some work on my condo today.  I needed  a latter of 8 foot tall so I got it and put it in the car. It is extremely difficult to get an 8 foot ladder in a sedan, but I pulled it off and I will do the same when I return it tomorrow.  Oh well time to go online dating and then some poker.  Hopefully tonight I turn things around.
